It seems that YouTube has changed its visitor policies while its mandatory for Tor users to solve a captcha on each visit now.

Anybody experienced the same behavior?

You can switch to an Invidious instance. Invidious is an alternative, open source front-end to YouTube.

Literally because 100's of people use tor network and probably Youtube was receiving too many requests from same node. So it is doing it to make sure you are not a bot.

  • This was brought up on the Tor Users mailing list. Many videos are now not available at all via Tor. Youtube relies heavily on user statistics which they sell and use for better advertisements and anonymous users defeat that. – JSEvans Nov 9 '19 at 9:58

I have never not experienced this. I find all Google products require me to solve a captcha when I am browsing over tor.
