I've been using TOR for a while now (Thank you, people who code it).

This morning when I started the TOR browser I got a notification that "obfs4proxy.exe" wanted to access the internet.

I have never seen this before and have never needed to allow this file through the firewall. Actually, I still don't, TOR started and connected fine even though I blocked this file.

A quick search tells me this file is for using a bridge? I know of the term "bridge" in relation to TOR but don't recall it's function. I do remember that I do not use it and never have.

Why out of no where after several years of use is this file now requesting internet access?

..\\tor browser\browser\torbrowser\tor\pluggabletransports\obfs4proxy.exe
