My Debian Buster server has to 1 gig interface nics, i decided to create a bonded interface coupling eth1 and eth2 as 1 interface Bond0 with 2 Gbit bandwith. Relay starts fine, but after a day or less, its reported as being down. My guess is that when the interface changes MAC due to balancing, the relay software suspects me of tampering. Is there a way to tell the relay software, that im bonding two interfraces? Or another way to get around this. Relay runs fine one one nic alone.

  • I might not be understanding correctly, but why would your MAC change? Is your network interface going down? And what does your log say (sudo journalctl -u tor@default if you're using the systemd service)? – Steve Jun 1 at 17:51
