I have a C++ app that communicates data back and forth. I want to automatically run all connections in the program through Tor. I have it working if I already have Tor installed and set Tor as the curl proxy but I dont want my users to have to download Tor. I'd like to be able to compile Tor as a part of my program so its all in the one executable and Tor in the program works everytime the app runs. What I'm trying to do is instead of have Tor run as its own executable, have it run as an object inside of my application in one executable. This is the first time I've attempted something like this. Would renaming main() to a constructor and rename the file to a Tor class to be imported to the main application as an object be a good first step?

Any help would be appreciated.

  • I can't help much because I'm not a develop but if you don't get an answer, write to the Tor-Dev Mailing list to work with the developers directly. That will have a better chance of getting feedback. lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo – JSEvans Oct 30 '19 at 18:27
