I run a Tor relay.

I would like to know if it is possible to configure, for example in /etc/hosts/, the ability for Tor to connect directly to an IP that I know is linked to a .onion domain rather than go through the Tor network. And then for all other .onion domains route through the Tor network normally.

I am looking to increase performance for a hidden service that I run while using my relay.

Any other hidden service or relay tips are much appreciated. Reader anonymity is not a concern. Hidden service anonymity is for my application.

This seems like a really, really bad idea. – womble Oct 25 '19 at 23:21
